mWFViewer 3.6

mWFViewer stands for methodica Web File Viewer.

It supports viewing text file (e.g. log file) contents over the Internet or within an Intranet.

mWFViewer

The product is installed on a machine running a web server. Therefore, it can be used from anywhere by anyone having access to the web server.

The web server must support PHP. The files to be viewed must be accessible by the web server.

On the client side any modern browser may be used. Javascript must be available and enabled.

mWFViewer is free software. So you do not have to pay for it.

The software is released as source code. So you may convince yourself of the fact that it does not contain any harmful code. It may "phone home" to check for a new version. You can switch this feature off. In the Tonido Application this feature is disabled at all.

(to be defined)

Tonido Application

Unzip the downloaded file into the plugins directory in your Tonido installation.
Windows: %APPDATA%\tonido\plugins.
TonidoPlug: /root/app/tonido/plugins.

On the TonidoPlug device, you can access the plugins directory thru SFTP (using e.g. the FileZilla client) or with the Tonido Shell application by Isaac Muse.
It is a good idea to suspend and then reactivate the application, so it gets properly initialized.

If necessary, change the configuration file mwfviewer/mwfviewer.cfg. The directories holding standard log files are configured by default.
The configuration details are described in the header of the file.

Text lines may be highlighted or ignored (suppressed).
The filter rules governing the highlighting may be changed by editing the file mwfviewer/utilites/filters.txt.

Languages:
mWFViewer is currently available in English and German. To activate the German variant set lang=de in the configuration file.
